1919 AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF MEDICAID-FUNDED
2020 PROGRAMS.
2121 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2424 Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) The Commissioner of Social 1
2525 Services shall conduct a study of Medicaid-funded state programs 2
2626 administered under Title XIX of the Social Security Act, as amended 3
2727 from time to time. Such study shall include, but need not be limited to, 4
2828 a report on: (1) Factors the commissioner deems pertinent to quality of 5
2929 care; (2) whether there are any gaps in access by eligible residents; and 6
3030 (3) whether any Medicaid waivers should be sought to expand access to 7
3131 medical assistance. 8
3232 (b) Not later than July 1, 2022, the commissioner shall report the 9
3333 results of the study, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a 10
3434 of the general statutes, to the joint standing committees of the General 11
3535 Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to aging and human 12
3636 services. Such report may include the commissioner's recommendations 13
3737 for addressing any identified gaps in the provision of Medicaid-funded 14
