	20	+	AN ACT CONCERNING RE GIONAL COOPERATION A MONG SCHOOL

16	22		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
17	23		Assembly convened:

19	25		Section 1. Section 10-33 of the general statutes is repealed and the 1
20	26		following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July 1, 2021): 2
21	27		Any local board of education which does not maintain a [high school] 3
22	28		school in which instruction is offered for grades kindergarten to twelve, 4
23	29		inclusive, or any combination of such grades, shall designate a [high] 5
24	30		school in another school district, approved by the State Board of 6
25	31		Education, as the school which any child under the jurisdiction of such 7
26	32		local board of education may attend, [who has completed an elementary 8
27	33		school course,] and such board of education shall pay to the local or 9
28	34		regional board of education for such other school district the tuition of 10
29	35		such child [residing with a parent or guardian in such school district 11
30	36		and attending such high school] attending or in order for such child to 12
31	37		attend school in such other school district. 13
32	38		Sec. 2. Subsection (j) of section 10-266aa of the general statutes is 14

42	47		tuition to other school districts [that do not have a high school] pursuant 18
