Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. Section 10-33 of the general statutes is repealed and the 1 following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July 1, 2021): 2 Any local board of education which does not maintain a [high school] 3 school in which instruction is offered for grades kindergarten to twelve, 4 inclusive, or any combination of such grades, shall designate a [high] 5 school in another school district, approved by the State Board of 6 Education, as the school which any child under the jurisdiction of such 7 local board of education may attend, [who has completed an elementary 8 school course,] and such board of education shall pay to the local or 9 regional board of education for such other school district the tuition of 10 such child [residing with a parent or guardian in such school district 11 and attending such high school] attending or in order for such child to 12 attend school in such other school district. 13 Sec. 2.
