AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF THE STATE'S CIVIL LAWS.  
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
Section 1. (Effective from passage) There is established a working group 1 
to study the state's civil laws as set forth in title 52 of the general statutes. 2 
The working group shall receive, consider and prepare comments and 3 
recommendations on proposed changes to such civil laws. The working 4 
group shall consist of the following members who have familiarity with 5 
the provisions set forth in title 52 of the general statutes: (1) One 6 
appointed by the speaker of the House of Representatives; (2) one 7 
appointed by the president pro tempore of the Senate; (3) one appointed 8 
by the majority leader of the House of Representatives; (4) one 9 
appointed by the majority leader of the Senate; (5) one appointed by the 10 
minority leader of the House of Representatives; and (6) one appointed 11 
by the minority leader of the Senate. Not later than February 1, 2022, the 12 
working group shall report on its findings and recommendations to the 13 
joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of 14 
matters relating to the judiciary, in accordance with the provisions of 15 
section 11-4a of the general statutes. The working group shall terminate 16  Raised Bill No. 1092

on the date that it submits such report or February 1, 2022, whichever is 17 
later.18 
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following 
sections:
