26 | 26 | firefighter's diagnosis of cancer arose out of and in the course of 2 | |
27 | 27 | employment for purposes of workers' compensation; and (2) create a 3 | |
28 | 28 | working group consisting of firefighters and members of the UConn 4 | |
29 | 29 | Health network to research and compile data on the following: (A) Rates 5 | |
30 | 30 | of breast and endocrine cancers in firefighters within the state compared 6 | |
31 | 31 | to firefighters in other states, (B) the prevalence of cancers in states that 7 | |
32 | 32 | ban certain flame retardants compared to Connecticut, (C) develop a 8 | |
33 | 33 | plan to phase out and ban the use of certain flame retardants, (D) 9 | |
34 | 34 | determine if certain safeguards or preventative care are recommended 10 | |
35 | 35 | for the prevention of breast or endocrine cancers, and (E) determine if 11 | |
