AN ACT CONCERNING THE UNFUNDED PENSION LIABILITY
PORTION OF THE FRINGE BENEFIT COST FOR EMPLOYEES OF
THE CONSTITUENT UNITS OF THE STATE SYSTEM OF HIGHER
EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2023) For the fiscal year ending 1
June 30, 2024, and each fiscal year thereafter, the Comptroller shall 2
fund, from resources appropriated for the State Comptroller-Fringe 3
Benefits, the unfunded pension liability portion of the fringe benefit 4
costs of the constituent units of the state system of higher education for 5
employees compensated through resources other than the General 6
Fund. Nothing in this section shall change the funding by the 7
Comptroller of the fringe benefit costs of the constituent units of the 8
state system of higher education for employees compensated through 9
the General Fund from resources appropriated for the State 10
Comptroller-Fringe Benefits. 11
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
