AN ACT REQUIRING THE CONNECTICUT AIRPORT AUTHORITY TO 
COMPLY WITH THE CONNECTICUT ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION 
ACT FOR ANY HISTORIC STRUCTURES AND LANDMARKS UNDER 
THE AUTHORITY'S CONTROL.  
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
Section 1. Section 22a-19a of the general statutes is repealed and the 1 
following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective from passage): 2 
The provisions of sections 22a-15 to 22a-19, inclusive, shall be 3 
applicable to the unreasonable destruction of historic structures and 4 
landmarks of the state, which shall be those properties (1) listed or 5 
under consideration for listing as individual units on the National 6 
Register of Historic Places (16 USC 470a, as amended), [or] (2) which 7 
are a part of a district listed or under consideration for listing on said 8 
national register and which have been determined by the State Historic 9 
Preservation Review Board to contribute to the historic significance of 10 
such district, or (3) under the care, custody and control of the 11 
Connecticut Airport Authority that contain structures or landmarks 12 
determined to be historic by any historical society of any host 13 
municipality for the facilities of such authority. If the plaintiff in any 14  Committee Bill No. 120

such action cannot make a prima facie showing that the conduct of the 15 
defendant, acting alone or in combination with others, has or is likely 16 
unreasonably to destroy the public trust in such historic structures or 17 
landmarks, the court shall tax all costs for the action to the plaintiff. 18 
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following 
sections:
