2222 AN ACT CREATING A STATE CAUSE OF ACTION FOR INJURIES

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2727 Assembly convened:

2929 That chapter 925 of the general statutes be amended to permit a 1
3030 person to bring a cause of action in the Superior Court against an 2
3131 employer for: (1) Actual damages for injuries or illness caused by a 3
3232 vaccination or medicinal treatment program if the employer required 4
3333 the employee to receive such vaccination or medicinal treatment 5
3434 program as a condition of employment; and (2) punitive damages, if the 6
3535 employer knowingly requires the vaccination or medicinal treatment 7
3636 without confirming its safety based on publicly available medical 8

4242 Statement of Purpose:
4343 To create a cause of action allowing an employee to recover actual and
4444 punitive damages for injuries or illness caused by a vaccination or
4545 medicinal treatment program if the employer required the employee to
4646 receive the vaccine or medicinal treatment as a condition of
4747 employment.
