AN ACT CREATING A STATE CAUSE OF ACTION FOR INJURIES RECEIVED OR ILLNESS CAUSED BY VACCINATIONS OR MEDICINAL TREATMENT REQUIRED AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That chapter 925 of the general statutes be amended to permit a 1 person to bring a cause of action in the Superior Court against an 2 employer for: (1) Actual damages for injuries or illness caused by a 3 vaccination or medicinal treatment program if the employer required 4 the employee to receive such vaccination or medicinal treatment 5 program as a condition of employment; and (2) punitive damages, if the 6 employer knowingly requires the vaccination or medicinal treatment 7 without confirming its safety based on publicly available medical 8 testing and documentation. 9 Proposed Bill No. 463 LCO No. 1246 2 of 2 Statement of Purpose: To create a cause of action allowing an employee to recover actual and punitive damages for injuries or illness caused by a vaccination or medicinal treatment program if the employer required the employee to receive the vaccine or medicinal treatment as a condition of employment.
