AN ACT CONCERNING THE NEW HARTFORD VOLUNTEER FIRE
DEPARTMENT AND THE PINE MEADOW FIRE DEPARTMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended, pursuant to section 2-14 of the 1
general statutes, to (1) authorize the consolidation of the New Hartford 2
Volunteer Fire Department and the Pine Meadow Fire Department in 3
the town of New Hartford, (2) dissolve the Pine Meadow Fire 4
Department, (3) redefine the New Hartford Volunteer Fire Department 5
boundaries to include the Pine Meadow Fire Department service area, 6
and (4) distribute and transfer all assets of the Pine Meadow Fire 7
Department to the New Hartford Volunteer Fire Department, which 8
shall include tax, lien and collection powers and all accounts receivable 9
and existing liens. 10
Statement of Purpose:
To authorize the consolidation of the New Hartford Volunteer Fire
Department and the Pine Meadow Fire Department in the town of New
Hartford.
