1818 AN ACT REQUIRING THE POLICE OFFICER STANDARDS AND
1919 TRAINING COUNCIL TO REVIEW AND MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS

2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2323 Assembly convened:

2525 That the Police Officer Standards and Training Council be required 1
2626 to review mandates on law enforcement units and law enforcement 2
2727 officers, and make recommendations to the General Assembly 3
2828 regarding any such mandates that are appropriate for repeal. 4
2929 Statement of Purpose:
3030 To require the Police Officer Standards and Training Council to review
3131 and make recommendations regarding mandates on law enforcement
3232 units and officers, in order to alleviate unnecessary mandates and
3333 burdens on law enforcement.
