1421 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1522 Assembly convened:

1724 Section 1. Section 2-35a of the general statutes is repealed and the 1
1825 following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective October 1, 2023): 2
1926 The joint standing committee of the General Assembly having 3
2027 cognizance of matters relating to government administration, 4
2128 organization and reorganization shall be charged with the duty and 5
2229 responsibility of overseeing all government organization and 6
23-reorganization and in particular any transfer, allocation or 7
24-consolidation of any state department or agency. The committee shall 8
25-[have responsibility] be responsible for continuing review of the 9
26-organization and reorganization of state departments and agencies and 10
27-may from time to time make recommendations to the General 11
28-Assembly with regard to government organization and reorganization. 12
