	20	+	AN ACT CONCERNING GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION.
14	21		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
15	22		Assembly convened:

17	24		Section 1. Section 2-35a of the general statutes is repealed and the 1
18	25		following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective October 1, 2023): 2
19	26		The joint standing committee of the General Assembly having 3
20	27		cognizance of matters relating to government administration, 4
21	28		organization and reorganization shall be charged with the duty and 5
22	29		responsibility of overseeing all government organization and 6
23		-	reorganization and in particular any transfer, allocation or 7
24		-	~~consolidation~~ of any state department or agency. The committee shall 8
25		-	~~[have~~ responsibility] be responsible for continuing review of the 9
26		-	~~organization~~ and reorganization of state departments and agencies and 10
27		-	~~may from~~ time to time make recommendations to the General 11
28		-	~~Assembly with~~ regard to government organization and reorganization. 12
