LCO No. 2886 1 of 2 General Assembly Raised Bill No. 5512 February Session, 2024 LCO No. 2886 Referred to Committee on FINANCE, REVENUE AND BONDING Introduced by: (FIN) AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF STATE REVENUE COLLECTIONS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Revenue 1 Services shall study the Department of Revenue Services' collections 2 processes to identify legislative and programmatic changes that may be 3 made to improve efficiency and reduce administrative costs of such 4 collections. Not later than January 1, 2025, the commissioner shall 5 submit a report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the 6 general statutes, on the commissioner's findings and recommendations 7 to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having 8 cognizance of matters relating to finance, revenue and bonding. 9 This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: Section 1 from passage New section Raised Bill No. 5512 LCO No. 2886 2 of 2 Statement of Purpose: To require the Commissioner of Revenue Services to study the Department of Revenue Services' collections processes.
