2121 AN ACT CONCERNING THE OBSERVANCE OF THREE KINGS DAY IN
2222 CONNECTICUT PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
2323 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2424 Assembly convened:

2626 That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to permit students in 1
2727 grades kindergarten to twelve, inclusive, to not attend school in order 2
2828 to observe Three Kings Day; and further, that section 10-198b of the 3
2929 general statutes be amended to require the State Board of Education to 4
3030 amend the definitions of "excused absence" and "unexcused absence" to 5
3131 exclude a student's observance of Three Kings Day. 6
3232 Statement of Purpose:
3333 To recognize the cultural and religious significance of Three Kings Day
3434 for students in Connecticut.
