1919 AN ACT DEDICATING THE SALES AND USE TAXES REVENUE
2020 GENERATED FROM ALCOHOL SALES TO CERTAIN PURPOSES.
2121 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2222 Assembly convened:

2424 That chapter 219 of the general statutes be amended to dedicate all 1
2525 sales and use taxes revenue generated from the sale, acceptance or 2
2626 receipt in this state of alcohol to (1) the Department of Mental Health 3
2727 and Addiction Services for rehabilitation and treatment programs, (2) 4
2828 the Division of State Police within the Department of Emergency 5
2929 Services and Public Protection for drunk driving prevention efforts, and 6
3030 (3) the establishment of a recovery school for students who are in 7
3131 recovery from substance use disorder or co-occurring disorders. 8
3232 Statement of Purpose:
3333 To dedicate all sales and use taxes revenue generated from the sale,
3434 acceptance or receipt in this state of alcohol to rehabilitation and
3535 treatment programs, drunk driving prevention efforts and the
3636 establishment of a recovery school.
