AN ACT DEDICATING THE SALES AND USE TAXES REVENUE 
GENERATED FROM ALCOHOL SALES TO CERTAIN PURPOSES. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That chapter 219 of the general statutes be amended to dedicate all 1 
sales and use taxes revenue generated from the sale, acceptance or 2 
receipt in this state of alcohol to (1) the Department of Mental Health 3 
and Addiction Services for rehabilitation and treatment programs, (2) 4 
the Division of State Police within the Department of Emergency 5 
Services and Public Protection for drunk driving prevention efforts, and 6 
(3) the establishment of a recovery school for students who are in 7 
recovery from substance use disorder or co-occurring disorders.  8 
Statement of Purpose:   
To dedicate all sales and use taxes revenue generated from the sale, 
acceptance or receipt in this state of alcohol to rehabilitation and 
treatment programs, drunk driving prevention efforts and the 
establishment of a recovery school.
