AN ACT CONCERNING THE ISSUANCE OF "DONATE LIFE" NUMBER
PLATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 246 of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
(1) the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles shall issue "Donate Life" 2
number plates of a design to enhance public awareness of the 3
importance of organ and tissue donations, and (2) a fee shall be charged 4
for the issuance of such number plates to pay the administrative costs of 5
issuing such number plates and provide funding to a nonprofit 6
organization in the state that focuses on organ and tissue donation and 7
transplantation. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To create a special license plate to enhance public awareness of the
importance of organ and tissue donations.
