25 | 25 | That the general statutes be amended to (1) streamline the certificate 1 | |
26 | 26 | of need application process, (2) adopt efficient timelines applicable to 2 | |
27 | 27 | the processing of applications for a certificate of need, including, but not 3 | |
28 | 28 | limited to, reasonable limits on timeline extensions, (3) require the 4 | |
29 | 29 | automatic approval of an application for a certificate of need if such 5 | |
30 | 30 | timelines are not met, (4) create an expedited review process for certain 6 | |
31 | 31 | categories and services that require a certificate of need, and (5) reduce 7 | |
32 | 32 | redundant information requests related to a certificate of need 8 | |
