(By Request) AN ACT CONCERNING TRANSPARENCY IN VETERINARY NEGLIGENCE INVESTIGATIONS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 20-204a of the general statutes be amended to require the 1 disclosure of information concerning an investigation into an allegation 2 of wrongdoing by a veterinarian to the owner of the animal that is the 3 subject of such allegation, even if the allegation was made by someone 4 other than such owner, provided such disclosure shall not be required 5 if the allegation is unrelated to the provision of veterinary care to the 6 animal. 7 Statement of Purpose: To require transparency and accountability in investigations of veterinary negligence by ensuring that the owner of an animal that is the subject of an allegation of such negligence is informed about the status and outcome of the investigation.
