REP. SHANNON, 117th Dist. AN ACT CONCERNING THE EARNED INCOME TAX CREDIT. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 12-704e of the general statutes be amended to increase 1 the applicable percentage of the earned income tax credit to forty-one 2 and one-half per cent of the federal earned income tax credit and allow 3 households earning less than three hundred per cent of the federal 4 poverty levels to claim such credit. 5 Statement of Purpose: To increase the applicable percentage of the earned income tax credit to forty-one and one-half per cent of the federal earned income tax credit and allow households earning less than three hundred per cent of the federal poverty levels to claim such credit.
