AN ACT CONCERNING HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR
PAXLOVID.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 700c of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
no individual or group health insurance policy that is delivered, issued 2
for delivery, renewed, amended or continued in this state that provides 3
coverage for paxlovid shall impose any coinsurance, copayment, 4
deductible or other out-of-pocket expense for paxlovid that exceeds a 5
defined amount. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To provide that no individual or group health insurance policy that is
delivered, issued for delivery, renewed, amended or continued in this
state that provides coverage for paxlovid shall impose any coinsurance,
copayment, deductible or other out-of-pocket expense for paxlovid that
exceeds a defined amount.
