20 | 20 | Assembly convened: | |

22 | 22 | That chapter 104 of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1 | |
23 | 23 | the training requirements necessary for a police officer to renew such 2 | |
24 | 24 | officer's certification shall be based on rank and assignment, and 3 | |
25 | 25 | categorized into the following tiers: (1) Tier one, which shall include 4 | |
26 | 26 | chiefs of police, assistant chiefs of police, deputy chiefs of police, 5 | |
27 | 27 | colonels and lieutenant colonels; (2) tier two, which shall include 6 | |
28 | 28 | captains, lieutenants, master sergeants and sergeants; and (3) tier three, 7 | |
29 | 29 | which shall include police officers and detectives. 8 | |
