AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF THE CONNECTICUT JUVENILE TRAINING SCHOOL. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of 1 Children and Families to enter into an agreement with an approved 2 nonprofit agency to provide a secure site for the provision of intensive 3 mental and behavioral health services to adjudicated high-risk youth 4 within the custody of the department. 5 Statement of Purpose: To reimagine and reopen the Connecticut Juvenile Training School for the purpose of providing better educational resources for high-risk pretrial offenders and their parents.
