AN ACT CONCERNING THE SCHOOL BUILDING PROJECT AT THE
NORTH END ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN CHESHIRE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That, notwithstanding the provisions of subdivision (2) of subsection 1
(e) of section 10-285a of the general statutes or any regulation adopted 2
by the Department of Administrative Services or the State Board of 3
Education pursuant to said section concerning the use of a building or 4
facility that will be used exclusively by a local or regional board of 5
education for an early childhood care and education program that 6
provides services for children from birth to five years for at least twenty 7
years, the school building project at the North End Elementary School 8
shall qualify as such early childhood care and education program for 9
twenty years and the reimbursement percentage for the town of 10
Cheshire shall be increased by fifteen percentage points for said project. 11 Proposed Bill No. 5748

Statement of Purpose:
To allow the school building project at the North End Elementary School
to be eligible for a fifteen-percentage-point increase for the early
childhood care and education program that provides services for
children from birth to five years at such school.
