Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 16 of the general statutes be amended to require that not 1 fewer than one member of the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority 2 have experience in consumer protection and advocacy and that such 3 member be appointed for the purpose of protecting consumers and 4 ratepayers. 5 Statement of Purpose: To require that not fewer than one member of the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority have experience in consumer protection and advocacy and that such member be appointed for the purpose of protecting consumers and ratepayers.
