AN ACT CONCERNING HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR OUT-
OF-NETWORK GROUND TRANSPORT AMBULANCE CHARGES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to regulate health insurance 1
coverage concerns not addressed by the federal No Surprises Act, 26 2
USC 9816, as amended from time to time, to ensure that individuals in 3
this state do not receive surprise out-of-network ground transport 4
ambulance charges for which health carriers are not obligated to 5
provide coverage. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To regulate health insurance coverage concerns not addressed by the
federal No Surprises Act, 26 USC 9816, as amended from time to time,
to ensure that individuals in this state do not receive surprise out-of-
network ground transport ambulance charges for which health carriers
are not obligated to provide coverage.
