CONSTANTINE, 42nd Dist. AN ACT ESTABLISHING A STATE -WIDE SPOTTED LANTERNFLY CONTROL PROGRAM. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to establish a state-wide 1 spotted lanternfly control program through a two-hundred-fifty-2 thousand-dollar fund that enables municipalities to apply for grants of 3 up to five thousand dollars for the purpose of control efforts such as tree 4 bands and traps, approved insecticide applications and visual 5 reconnaissance surveys and egg mass scraping. 6 Statement of Purpose: To provide funding for spotted lanternfly control efforts.
