2323 AN ACT CONCERNING THE RENEWABLE PORTFOLIO STANDARD,
2424 THE PUBLIC UTILITIES REGULATORY AUTHORITY AND PUBLIC
2525 UTILITY AFFILIATE ENTITIES AND REQUIRING A STUDY OF THE
2626 ELECTRIC GRID OF THE STATE.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2828 Assembly convened:

3030 That the general statutes be amended to (1) redefine "class I 1
3131 renewable energy source" to include any nuclear or hydropower energy 2
3232 source, (2) increase oversight of the Public Utilities Regulatory 3
3333 Authority, (3) require an audit of the Combined Public Benefits Charge 4
3434 and any program supported by such charge, (4) require functional and 5
3535 operational separation of unregulated or underregulated affiliates of 6
3636 public utilities, (5) impose revenue transfer caps, (6) require a line-item 7
3737 audit of large electricity generation facilities, and (7) require a 8

4343 Statement of Purpose:
