AN ACT CONCERNING THE DEPLOYMENT OF SOLAR ENERGY SOURCES IN THE STATE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to (1) set a goal of five hundred 1 megawatts of solar photovoltaic electricity generation in the state not 2 later than the year 2027, (2) remove the capacity limit on the Non-3 residential Renewable Energy Solutions Program, (3) extend the 4 duration of the Shared Clean Energy Facility Program, (4) impose a 5 uniform capacity tax for grid-scale solar photovoltaic installations, (5) 6 streamline the process by which solar photovoltaic facilities are 7 connected to the grid, and (6) create a solar advancement commission 8 for the purpose of making policy recommendations concerning solar 9 deployment in the state. 10 Statement of Purpose: To (1) set a goal of five hundred megawatts of solar photovoltaic electricity generation in the state not later than the year 2027, (2) remove the capacity limit on the Non-residential Renewable Energy Solutions Program, (3) extend the duration of the Shared Clean Energy Facility Program, (4) impose a uniform capacity tax for grid-scale solar Proposed Bill No. 6291 LCO No. 3479 2 of 2 photovoltaic installations, (5) streamline the process by which solar photovoltaic facilities are connected to the grid, and (6) create a solar advancement commission for the purpose of making policy recommendations concerning solar deployment in the state.
