20 | 20 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General | |

23 | 23 | That the general statutes be amended to allow an individual 1 | |
24 | 24 | convicted of a nonviolent crime in a foreign jurisdiction, who is 2 | |
25 | 25 | incarcerated for such crime in that jurisdiction, and has children 3 | |
26 | 26 | residing in this state, to be transferred to a state correctional facility to 4 | |
27 | 27 | serve the remainder of their sentence as close to their children as 5 | |
28 | 28 | reasonably possible, depending on the safety and needs of such 6 | |
