AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPALITIES AND THE PAID SICK LEAVE
STATUTES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That sections 31-57r to 31-57w, inclusive, of the general statutes be 1
amended to require municipalities to provide paid sick leave to their 2
employees who do not currently receive at least forty hours of paid 3
leave. Such requirement shall not supersede any collective bargaining 4
agreement or employer policy regarding incremental usage of paid sick 5
leave or the requirement of a doctor's note when using paid sick leave. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To amend the paid sick leave statutes to include municipalities.
