25 | 25 | That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the use of any 1 | |
26 | 26 | software that (1) is developed by a third party for the purpose of 2 | |
27 | 27 | providing services to one or more landlords or property managers, (2) 3 | |
28 | 28 | uses one or more algorithms to examine sensitive, proprietary or 4 | |
29 | 29 | publicly available data regarding the housing market, including, but not 5 | |
30 | 30 | limited to, data submitted by one or more landlords or property 6 | |
31 | 31 | managers, and (3) makes recommendations to one or more landlords or 7 | |
32 | 32 | property managers for the purpose of establishing occupancy levels and 8 | |
33 | 33 | rental rates that maximize landlord and property manager profits. 9 | |
