23 | 23 | That the general statutes be amended to (1) require reimbursement to 1 | |
24 | 24 | each local health department and health district for the full cost, 2 | |
25 | 25 | including, but not limited to, administrative costs, for all vaccines 3 | |
26 | 26 | administered by such department or district, (2) require the 4 | |
27 | 27 | Commissioner of Public Health to implement an annual public 5 | |
28 | 28 | education campaign to educate state residents about free and low-cost 6 | |
29 | 29 | vaccines available through the vaccines for children program, (3) 7 | |
30 | 30 | require the Commissioner of Public Health to develop training for, and 8 | |
31 | 31 | provide technical assistance to, each local health department and health 9 | |
32 | 32 | district relating to billing and insurance for vaccines, and (4) eliminate 10 | |
33 | 33 | penalties for local health departments and health districts that carry 11 | |
