1818 AN ACT ESTABLISHING A DATABASE AND HOTLINE FOR THE
1919 REPORTING OF CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORDS OR VIOLENT
2020 INCIDENTS OF PATIENTS OF HOME HEALTH CARE WORKERS.
2121 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2222 Assembly convened:

2424 That the general statutes be amended to require the creation of (1) a 1
2525 database of the criminal history records of any patient provided home 2
2626 health care or hospice care through a home health care agency, hospice 3
2727 agency or home health aide, accessible to any worker providing such 4
2828 care, and (2) a telephone hotline and Internet web site for individuals to 5
2929 report violent incidents involving any patient provided home health 6
3030 care that did not result in an arrest and such incidents to be added to 7
3131 such database. 8
3232 Statement of Purpose:
3333 To ensure the safety of home health care workers by providing them
3434 access to the criminal background information and violent incident
3535 reports of their patients.
