AN ACT ESTABLISHING A DATABASE AND HOTLINE FOR THE REPORTING OF CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORDS OR VIOLENT INCIDENTS OF PATIENTS OF HOME HEALTH CARE WORKERS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require the creation of (1) a 1 database of the criminal history records of any patient provided home 2 health care or hospice care through a home health care agency, hospice 3 agency or home health aide, accessible to any worker providing such 4 care, and (2) a telephone hotline and Internet web site for individuals to 5 report violent incidents involving any patient provided home health 6 care that did not result in an arrest and such incidents to be added to 7 such database. 8 Statement of Purpose: To ensure the safety of home health care workers by providing them access to the criminal background information and violent incident reports of their patients.
