30 | 30 | That chapter 541 of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1 | |
31 | 31 | (1) the Office of the State Building Inspector and the Codes and 2 | |
32 | 32 | Standards Committee shall develop a state-wide building code that 3 | |
33 | 33 | consists of a more stringent set of energy-efficiency requirements than 4 | |
34 | 34 | those specified in the State Building Code, which may be adopted by a 5 | |
35 | 35 | town, city or borough, and (2) in the process of developing such state-6 | |
36 | 36 | wide building code, said office and committee shall consider input from 7 | |
37 | 37 | the public and stakeholders. 8 | |
