2323 AN ACT REQUIRING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A STATE-WIDE
2424 BUILDING CODE CONSISTING OF MORE STRINGENT ENERGY -
2525 EFFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS THAT MAY BE ADOPTED BY TOWNS,
2626 CITIES OR BOROUGHS.
2727 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2828 Assembly convened:

3030 That chapter 541 of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
3131 (1) the Office of the State Building Inspector and the Codes and 2
3232 Standards Committee shall develop a state-wide building code that 3
3333 consists of a more stringent set of energy-efficiency requirements than 4
3434 those specified in the State Building Code, which may be adopted by a 5
3535 town, city or borough, and (2) in the process of developing such state-6
3636 wide building code, said office and committee shall consider input from 7
3737 the public and stakeholders. 8
3838 Statement of Purpose:
3939 To provide that (1) the Office of the State Building Inspector and the
