AN ACT CONCERNING CARRY PERMIT RECIPROCITY. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to require the Attorney General 1 
to negotiate and enter into agreements on behalf of the state of 2 
Connecticut with the appropriate authorities of any state of the United 3 
States, or any political subdivision thereof, granting reciprocity to any 4 
person with a permit or certificate to carry a firearm, provided such state 5 
or political subdivision has substantially similar standards for age, 6 
background investigation and training as required by subsection (b) of 7 
section 29-28 of the general statutes. 8 
Statement of Purpose:   
To secure permit or certificate reciprocity between Connecticut and 
other states that have substantially similar standards for carrying a 
firearm.
