1818 AN ACT CONCERNING THE REIMBURSEMENT OF FIREFIGHTER
1919 CERTIFICATION COSTS.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2121 Assembly convened:

2323 That chapter 104 of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
2424 any fire department that hires a firefighter who received firefighter 2
2525 certification not earlier than two years before the date when such fire 3
2626 department hires such firefighter shall reimburse fifty per cent of the 4
2727 total cost of such certification to any other fire department that 5
2828 employed such firefighter during such two-year period and paid for 6
2929 such certification. 7
3030 Statement of Purpose:
3131 To assist fire departments with firefighter retention and saving the costs
3232 associated with losing firefighters to other departments.
