AN ACT CONCERNING RECIPROCAL AGREEMENTS WITH OTHER 
STATES REGARDING THE MUTUAL ENFORCEMENT OF 
DELINQUENT MOTOR VEHICLE PROPERTY TAXES. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That title 14 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1 
Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to enter into reciprocal agreements 2 
with other states providing for the mutual enforcement of delinquent 3 
motor vehicle property taxes so that persons with delinquent motor 4 
vehicle property taxes in Connecticut may not register a vehicle in such 5 
other state until such delinquent motor vehicle property taxes are paid 6 
and vice versa. 7 
Statement of Purpose:   
To require the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to enter into reciprocal 
agreements with other states regarding the mutual enforcement of 
delinquent motor vehicle property taxes.
