| 19 | 19 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General | |

| 22 | 22 | That section 14-99g of the general statutes be amended to increase the 1 | |
| 23 | 23 | penalty for owning a vehicle having a window that has been tinted or 2 | |
| 24 | 24 | darkened in violation of said section from an infraction to (1) a fine of 3 | |
| 25 | 25 | not less than one hundred dollars nor more than three hundred dollars, 4 | |
| 26 | 26 | similar to the fine for reckless driving, or (2) in lieu of a fine, a 5 | |
| 27 | 27 | requirement to replace such tinted or darkened window and present 6 | |
| 28 | 28 | such vehicle for an inspection at the Department of Motor Vehicles and 7 | |
