| 25 | 25 | That the general statutes be amended to support families of members 1 | |
| 26 | 26 | of the armed forces who have received orders for service in the state by 2 | |
| 27 | 27 | (1) facilitating the ability of spouses to work through the enactment of 3 | |
| 28 | 28 | occupational licensure interstate compacts, (2) increasing flexibility 4 | |
| 29 | 29 | through access to district open enrollment policies, and (3) for children 5 | |
| 30 | 30 | who need access to special education and related services, streamlining 6 | |
| 31 | 31 | processes to ensure timely establishment of comparable services and 7 | |
| 32 | 32 | reducing burdens associated with due process proceedings. 8 | |
| 33 | 33 | Statement of Purpose: | |
| 34 | 34 | To implement several efforts designed to support military families that | |
| 35 | 35 | may be required to relocate to the state due to servicemembers' orders. |
