AN ACT CONCERNING EFFORTS TO SUPPORT THE FAMILIES OF 
MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES WHO HAVE RECEIVED 
ORDERS FOR SERVICE IN THE STATE. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to support families of members 1 
of the armed forces who have received orders for service in the state by 2 
(1) facilitating the ability of spouses to work through the enactment of 3 
occupational licensure interstate compacts, (2) increasing flexibility 4 
through access to district open enrollment policies, and (3) for children 5 
who need access to special education and related services, streamlining 6 
processes to ensure timely establishment of comparable services and 7 
reducing burdens associated with due process proceedings. 8 
Statement of Purpose:   
To implement several efforts designed to support military families that 
may be required to relocate to the state due to servicemembers' orders.
