AN ACT PROVIDING HOUSING FOR CERTAIN IMPOVERISHED 
VETERANS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to (1) authorize one or more 1 
department heads, as defined in section 4-5 of the general statutes, to 2 
coordinate in providing a twenty-foot insulated prefabricated home, 3 
with two bedrooms, a full kitchen and a bathroom, to each veteran 4 
whose income falls below the federal poverty line and who can 5 
demonstrate having been without a permanent residence for the 6 
immediately preceding ninety days, (2) provide for the delivery of such 7 
prefabricated home to such veteran at any property owned by such 8 
veteran or by a third party with such third party's consent, and (3) 9 
require the municipality in which any such property is located, in the 10 
event such prefabricated home fails to comply with such municipality's 11 
zoning regulations, to identify an alternative location for such 12 
prefabricated home not later than sixty days after a determination of 13

Statement of Purpose:   
To establish a program for the provision of prefabricated homes to 
certain impoverished veterans.
