| 15 | 24 | Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2025) Notwithstanding the 1 | |

| 17 | 26 | vacancy in any (1) position not appointed by the Governor or a member 3 | |
| 18 | 27 | of the General Assembly within the Department of Public Health, the 4 | |
| 19 | 28 | Department of Children and Families, the Department of Mental Health 5 | |
| 20 | 29 | and Addiction Services, the Department of Revenue Services, the 6 | |
| 21 | 30 | Department of Correction or the Labor Department, or (2) teaching 7 | |
| 22 | 31 | position within the Technical Education and Career System, the 8 | |
| 23 | - | department or system shall post such vacant position in a job 9 | |
| 24 | - | advertisement not later than ten days after such vacancy occurs. The 10 | |
