LCO No. 3860 1 of 2 General Assembly Committee Bill No. 62 January Session, 2025 LCO No. 3860 Referred to Committee on ENVIRONMENT Introduced by: (ENV) AN ACT CONCERNING THE ISSUANCE OF A NEW PERMIT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A DOCK WHEN THE FORMER PERMIT HAS EXPIRED. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: Section 1. (Effective from passage) Notwithstanding any provision of 1 title 22a of the general statutes, the Department of Energy and 2 Environmental Protection shall issue a new permit, not later than sixty 3 days after the effective date of this section, for the construction of a dock 4 to any resident who was not able to construct such dock under a 5 formerly issued but subsequently expired permit from said agency, 6 provided there are no changes in any such application from the formerly 7 approved permit. 8 This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: Section 1 from passage New section Committee Bill No. 62 LCO No. 3860 2 of 2 Statement of Purpose: To expedite the issuance of a new permit to build a dock when the former permit has expired but there are no changes to the application for such permit.
