AN ACT CONCERNING CYBERBULLYING. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to require each social media 1 
provider doing business in this state to (1) enforce minimum age 2 
requirements for persons using such provider's social media platform, 3 
(2) develop content filters for younger users to curb cyberbullying on 4 
such provider's social media platform, and (3) agree to any choice of law 5 
provision contained in a user agreement that would subject such 6 
provider to liability in this state for damages incurred by a person in this 7 
state due to cyberbullying on such provider's social media platform. 8 
Statement of Purpose:   
To establish additional protections against cyberbullying on social 
media platforms.
