AN ACT CONCERNING THE ASSESSMENT OF FOUR POINTS ON AN OPERATOR'S LICENSE AFTER USING A HAND -HELD MOBILE TELEPHONE OR MOBILE ELECTRONIC DEVICE WHILE OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 14-137a of the general statutes be amended to require 1 that four points, instead of one point, be assessed against a motor vehicle 2 operator's license after the operator is found to have violated the 3 provisions of section 14-296aa of the general statutes. 4 Statement of Purpose: To increase the points assessed against a motor vehicle operator's license after violating the prohibition on using a hand-held mobile telephone or mobile electronic device while operating a motor vehicle from one point to four points.
