| 24 | 24 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General |

| 27 | 27 | | That the general statutes be amended to require (1) each elector, prior 1 |

| 28 | 28 | | to voting in person at the polling place, to present a current and valid 2 |

| 29 | 29 | | photo identification that clearly displays such elector's name and 3 |

| 30 | 30 | | residential address; (2) each elector voting by absentee ballot to include 4 |

| 31 | 31 | | in the outer return envelope a photocopy of such a current and valid 5 |

| 32 | 32 | | photo identification; (3) each public library to provide, free of charge, a 6 |

| 33 | 33 | | photocopy of any elector's current and valid photo identification for 7 |

| 34 | 34 | | purposes of voting by absentee ballot, the costs of which provision such 8 |

| 35 | 35 | | library may seek reimbursement from the State Treasurer; and (4) the 9 |

| 36 | 36 | | Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to waive the fee associated with 10 |
