2222 AN ACT REQUIRING PHOTO IDENTIFICATION FOR VOTING
2323 PURPOSES.
2424 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2525 Assembly convened:

2727 That the general statutes be amended to require (1) each elector, prior 1
2828 to voting in person at the polling place, to present a current and valid 2
2929 photo identification that clearly displays such elector's name and 3
3030 residential address; (2) each elector voting by absentee ballot to include 4
3131 in the outer return envelope a photocopy of such a current and valid 5
3232 photo identification; (3) each public library to provide, free of charge, a 6
3333 photocopy of any elector's current and valid photo identification for 7
3434 purposes of voting by absentee ballot, the costs of which provision such 8
3535 library may seek reimbursement from the State Treasurer; and (4) the 9
3636 Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to waive the fee associated with 10
3737 obtaining, for voting purposes, a motor vehicle operator's license or 11
