AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY REGARDING THE DEFINITION OF
"INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY".
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the Department of Developmental Services be required to study 1
whether changes to the statutory definition of "intellectual disability" 2
are necessary and should take into consideration factors other than the 3
intelligence quotient. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To explore methods of determining intellectual disability other than the
intelligence quotient.
