1818 AN ACT CONCERNING THE REVIEW OF POWER PURCHASE
1919 AGREEMENTS WITH NUCLEAR POWER GENERATING FACILITIES.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2121 Assembly convened:

2323 That the general statutes be amended to allow the Commissioner of 1
2424 Energy and Environmental Protection to (1) review the terms of any 2
2525 power purchase agreement entered into or approved by the 3
2626 commissioner and a nuclear power generating facility on or before July 4
2727 1, 2024, (2) require the disclosure of any contracts or other financial 5
2828 arrangements entered into by a nuclear power generating facility 6
2929 incidental to such power purchase agreement, and (3) withdraw from, 7
3030 or withdraw approval for, any such agreement if the commissioner 8
3131 determines that a disproportionate amount of funds paid to a nuclear 9
3232 power generating facility pursuant to such agreement are being used for 10
3333 capital projects or other expenses outside the state or if such withdrawal 11
3434 is in the best interest of residents of the state. 12
3535 Statement of Purpose:
